Our Centre

The centre, which opened in September 2006, is owned and run by Yvonne Brookes (Centre Director). Yvonne holds a BA (Hons) in Social Science and is a qualified teacher with a PGCE. She has many years experience teaching in Primary and Secondary schools, state and private sector schools, both in the UK and overseas.

Yvonne says: “I see our role as complementing the work done in schools, to give every child, whatever their ability, the chance to realise their potential. Having worked in many schools I have seen how difficult it is, with present day class sizes, to achieve this.”

Yvonne has a number of tutors assisting her on various days – and will always welcome applications from suitably qualified teachers.

The centre currently holds sessions as follows:

Monday – Thursday
4.00pm – 5.20pm
5.30pm – 6.50pm

Saturday
9.30am – 10.50am
11.00am – 12.20pm
