At Kip McGrath Education Centres we offer a full range of English and Mathematics programmes which build confidence and improve skills.
Kip McGrath Education Centres cater for children who may be falling behind at school or whose parents
feel they need an extra helping hand. The Centres offer a unique form of personal tuition tailored to the
education needs of individual children, whatever their situation. Some children, for example, might not
understand their schoolwork, others may have become frustrated or have given up for a variety of
reasons.
All our tuition takes place in groups of up to five students, within which each child follows an
individual learning programme. This is designed to give each child the motivation to succeed, and a
learning progression which is at their ideal pace. Kip McGrath ensures that no child becomes overwhelmed,
and at the same time aims to emphasise the positive aspects of every child's capabilities.
We use tried and tested methods to give each child a true sense of achievement as well as the actual
results they need. Our approach embodies the idea that learning should be enjoyable. So from a child's
point of view, they see a place where they are confident they can learn and an environment where it will be
fun to learn.
There are four specialist areas in which our Centres help children.
Maths
We provide a carefully structured work programme, from early number skills working up to higher Maths concepts. Children can practise basic number skills, mental calculations, tables, fractions, decimals, percentages, algebra, geometry and problem solving.
Reading
Across the board, from children who are virtual non-readers to those with fairly minor difficulties, as well as including those who have 'specific learning difficulties'.
Spelling
For all ability levels. We aim to use a variety of strategies to suit the different learning styles of our students and work with students at all levels.
English
We can focus on reading, writing, spelling, grammar, creative writing, comprehension and vocabulary development.
We also have an excellent Early Reading Programme for new readers.
